Chinese New Year was alright, nothing less and a little more then what i had anticipated. harvest was good.

we're lucky not to have school tomorrow. but i still don't know why we don't. the holiday tomorrow makes me not want to attend school on Thursday. :( lots of assignments that i haven't started on. i have to rush everything tomorrow. thinking on whether i should go ahead and jam at Trevor's tomorrow.

i hope i get more angpaos.

haven't updated for a long time, i didn't because i was lazy/busy. depends on how you look at it.

i think i'm addicted to playing the guitar. everytime i'm out, i just want to go home to play. now that's true love.

i don't think i'll be blogging anymore about Vietnam. there's too much to blog about. and i'm lazy to do so.

i've been wanting to blog about my Vietnam trip, but i simply have no time. now i do, but i'm just not in the mood.

i had IHS today, which i think is a total waste of curriculum time. i was sleeping through the whole lecture. really, i see no point in going. the rest of the day was okay, including training. training was really slack. i think the coach was in a good mood or something. at least i'm not dreading training anymore.

i hate taking buses after training, i'm afraid i might stink and bother the people on the bus, and make myself look really bad.

hey at least i've resisted hailing a cab. that's an achievement.

i had some scholarship test yesterday. if i get it, i'll save lots of money for my parents, and they'll give me half of what they'll save. :))))))
not likely to happen, since i didn't really care about the test. so if i really do get it i'll treat my friends to dinner or soemthing.

i didn't take many photos, i think i only took 568. i should've taken my camera with me when i went to the school (i forgot what its name was). dang. i think the school visit was quite satisfying, considering the fact that i was reminded that i once played basketball for school. shit, that was a helluva long time ago. i'll try to narrate what happened during my trip in Vietnam as clear as possible. i did enjoy the trip.

oh yeah i did keep little notes of what happened during a particular day, i think i'll type out exactly what was written.

Day 1
Thursday, 12/1/2006

left the house at 0640. dropped my sister off at CJ then drove to the airport. waited there for a while and after check-in we were free to roam for an hour or so. immediately we went up to the second level. i went for breakfast while some of my other classmates went for the gaming area.
after breakfast we had to go to gate 43 (i think). we took SQ171 to Vietnam. Dr Ong was on our flight. i was just glad to take SQ.
after an hour or so we arrived in Ho Chi Minh City. there was in-flight entertainment which made the flight a little less boring.
after going through customs and getting our luggages, we headed out to the bus. it was swarmed with Vietnamese people straining to see if the people they were waiting for had arrived. it was really as if the crowd was waiting for some superstar or something like that.

i apologise for the badly aken photo of the name of the hotel. i think it's a four star hotel. it wasn't bad, really.
my room. 315. shared with my classmate named Lloyd. we had two beds, a king and a single. guess who took the king? ;)

if you haven't already guessed it, it was me who took the king. :) i won it fair and square okay. we flipped a coin.

first meal in Vietnam. wasn't bad. wasn't that good either. the food we ate for the next few days was pretty much the same.

after lunch, to kill time (we had to wait for three other classes as we were the very first to reach Vietnam), we went shopping. wasn't an ideal market, it was so hot and stuffy. so the two Alex's (Lee and Chuang), Joash, Ging Ting and i went to some newly built supermarket to shop around. we found this supermarket and bought food.

time did pass and it was dinner time. by that time the other classes had had joined us. we went unto this boat for dinner. at the end of it out there was this fire belly dancing woman. could see people getting turned on. haha. naw, kidding. anyway, food was mediocre.

this is what i wrote:
Exit of the airport crowded because of Lunar New Year people receiving their relatives.

We were first of four classes to get there. Wasn't a race ir anything, just an unexpected previlege. We got to do a lot more, such as eat lunch, and a little shopping. Bought same drinks and crackers. Dr Ong has been and will be following us.

The main mode of transport here is (by) motorcycle. It is probably because the people in Vietnam aren't as fortunate as us, and that is what they can afford.

Before all that, we got to our hotel rooms... ...We got one of the best rooms. It had this super king bed and a single one too... flipped a coin to see who was going to take the super (king). I won it. =)

well that's about the whole of day 1.

there are a lot of things to blog about i don't know where to start.
i'm happy that there was this OEP thingy, it really helped me get to know more friends (and people i get irritated with and start to hate).
bought lotsa stuff, i think i overspent too.

school was boring. i've been trying to substitute the word "fuck" with "hell".
i slacked a few periods, but then i went back to class after i ate breakfast.

after school we tried to Jam. wen to Bugis. we were playing crap and everything was too loud. but we did manage to play 'Adam's Song'. well, half of it.

this is my 300th post. haha. i'm lazy to do anything special. actually, what's true is only the first five words of that statement.

went to school, late. i wasn't but my sister and dad were. :(
i forgot to set the alarm.

anyway i'm feeling guilty cause i've not been going for lessons. it's isn't really intentional. i have to help out in cause there's this Sports Bazaar for sec 1s. and my job is to scout the good runners. i hope i don't skip much tomorrow. but tomorrow is a short day. oh what the hell.

i've learnt most of 'Not Now' by blink-182! :)))))))) that song is godlike.
but the sad thing is that my amp isn't working. i think i'm gonna fix it during the weekends. i mean, bring it to some shop to get it fixed la.

well i want my old class back. i don't mind the one two years before. i tried to get used to the people in my class (not that i had much time doing so), but i just can't. :(

second day of school. it kinda was a half day for me. i only went for Additional Math and Introduction to Human Societies (IHS). for Math we had this substitute teacher. i still don't know his name. he moodswings a lot i think. when he's nice but can just turn around and get someone to do pushups. really funny.

IHS we had Tamara Nair. she's a really nice teacher. she was my Project Work teach last year. quite good.

okay it was the first day of school today. i'd say it was pretty dumb and boring.

prefects' meeting at 7. then duty after that until contact time. routine, nothing i haven't done before, just that my duty post is at a different area.
the rest of the day, nothing exceptional happened, except that i learnt that Singhs don't cut their hair. really, i didn't know.

oh i'm quite glad that my class is flying SQ to Vietnam. going on the 12th. i hope i get to know my classmates better, make new friendships. i don't want to be stuck with 29 other people i don't like for the next two years. but Dr Ong is taking the flight with us. i think he's intimidating. there's this aura around him.

after school i had to wait till four to meet my new Track and Field teacher-in-charge. i reckon he's a nice guy, don't know him too well. met another guy, don't know him by name but by face. he's a really nice guy. i'm glad they came to join this CCA. i think they've just revived it.

training starts tomorrow. plus i have this sports bizarre thingy. that's two things to look forward to tomorrow. double yay!

first post of the new year. well, it is the last day of the holidays. i'm sec 3. which means i'm turning fifteen on the 16th of April this year. whoa. time passes too fast.
i sure hope the new year will be a good year.
i hope that i can get along with my classmates.
i hope that none of them are assholes. which would be rarem cause out of all the classes i've been in, both Primary or Secondary levels, there'll be an asshole. in sec 1 it was Hong Sheng, last year was Gerard.
i hope that i'd still keep in touch with the friends i've made last year, like Nicholas, Ben, Marcus, Eduard, Thadeus, people from 2.11.
i hope that i won't get lazy and start slacking off, resulting in the neglect of school or tuition work.
i hope that i can cope with this new way of teaching, cope with the projects.

tomorrow's the start of a new school term and year, hopefully it starts off well.
